Islamabad United 176 for 3 (Sharjeel 117) beat Peshawar Zalmi 126 (Kamran 45, Khalid 4-20) by 50 runs.

دبئی: اسلام آباد یونائیٹڈ نے ایونٹ کی مضبوط سمجھی جانے والی ٹیم پشاور زلمی کو تیسرے پلے آف میچ میں 50 رنز سے شکست دے کر فائنل کے لئے کوالیفائی کرلیا۔

دبئی انٹرنیشنل کرکٹ اسٹیڈیم میں کھیلے گئے میچ میں اسلام آباد یونائیٹڈ نے پشاور زلمی کو جیت کے لئے 177 رنز کا ہدف دیا جس کے تعاقب میں پشاورزلمی کی پوری ٹیم 18 اوورز میں 126 رنز بنا کرپویلین لوٹ گئی۔ پشاور زلمی کی جانب سے 8 بلے باز ڈبل فیگر میں بھی شامل نہ ہوسکے اور کامران اکمل 45 اور کپتان شاہد آفریدی 38 رنزبنا کرنمایاں رہے جب کہ ڈیوڈ ملان 7، محمد حفیظ 8، بریڈ ہوج 5  ڈیرن سیمی 9،شاہد یوسف 4، وہاب ریاض اور حسن علی ایک ایک اور محمد اصغر بغیر کوئی رنز بنائے آؤٹ ہوئے۔ اسلام آباد یونائیٹڈ کی جانب سے شاندار بولنگ کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے عمران خالد نے 4، آندرے رسلز 3، سیموئل بدری، محمد سمیع اور محمد عرفان نے ایک ایک وکٹ حاصل کی۔

Sharjeel was the nucleus of the entire innings as he scored the first century of the tournament, he ended up being run out in the final over after scoring 117 runs off 64 balls only.Sharjeel Khan scored the first hundred of the Pakistan Super League as Islamabad United galloped into the final with a comprehensive 50-run win against Peshawar Zalmi. 

Sharjeel's 50-ball hundred powered Islamabad to 176 for 3 before left-arm spinner Imran Khalid's four-for made sure Peshawar were bowled out for 126 with two overs to spare.Put in to bat, Islamabad put together a 108-run opening stand in 13.1 overs, a majority of the runs coming off Sharjeel's blade. Dwayne Smith, the other opener, struggled to get bat on ball during his stay of 37 balls to score 19 runs without a single boundary.

پی ایس ایل میں سنچری اسکور کرنے والے شرجیل خان پہلے بلے باز ہیں جنہوں نے پشاور زلمی کے خلاف 8 چھکوں اور 12 چوکوں کی مدد سے 62 گیندوں پر117 رنز بنا کر آخری اوور میں رن آؤٹ ہوئے جب کہ مقررہ اوورز کے اختتام تک خالد لطیف 21 گیندوں پر 28 رنز اور آندرے رسلز کوئی گیند نہ کھیل سکے۔ پشاور زلمی کی جانب سے شان ٹیٹ نے 2 وکٹیں حاصل کیں۔

واضح رہے کہ پاکستان سپر لیگ میں دونوں ٹیموں کے درمیان اب تک دو میچز ہوچکے ہیں جس میں دونوں مرتبہ فتح پشاور زلمی کا مقدر ٹہری۔ دوسری جانب کوئٹہ گلیڈی ایٹرز پہلے ہی فائنل کے لئے کوالیفائی کر چکی ہے اور آج کا میچ جیتنے والی ٹیم فائنل میں سرفراز الیون سے ٹکرائے گی۔

Peshawar started slow in the Powerplay and were dented when Samuel Badree dismissed Dawid Malan in the fourth over. Kamran kept the score ticking till the 11th over before Khalid struck. Peshawar's main source of resistance was opener Kamran Akmal, who made 45 from 32 balls. But with the next four batsmen scored only in single digits, the writing was on the wall.

Khalid removed Mohammad Hafeez and Kamran in consecutive overs, and Brad Hodge and Darren Sammy in the same over - the 13th - to reduce Peshawar to 80 for 5. By then, the required run rate had shot up over 13 per over.

Afridi provided his team with a few late strikes, but it was not enough. Khalid finished with 4 for 20 from his three overs and Andre Russell took three lower-order wickets, including Afridi's, to end with 3 for 37.
