Abid Malhi, the main accused in the case, was arrested 33 days after the incident. For the first time since the arrest of the accused, pictures of him have surfaced, in which he looks different than before.

How was Abid Malhi arrested?

Sources said that Abid Malhi, who had been “turn around one little finger” for 34 days, fled from Nankana and came to Faisalabad with a lift after fleeing the police raid. From Faisalabad, Manga Mandi he reached his father. He took the elevator from the citizen and went to Chiniot. The accused told the citizen that he had fought from home and he did not have any money. During the escape, Abid continued to work as fodder for buffaloes in the village.

The accused took Rs. 800 from there and returned to Manga Mandi to his father. Meanwhile, the father of the accused kept requesting Khalid Butt (a local dignitary) to bring Abid before the police. It was Khalid Butt who helped CIA Model Town in the arrest of the accused. Abid was transferred to CIA Model Town in Khalid Butt's car.

Case background:

On September 9, a woman was gang-raped on the motorway in Gujjarpura area of ​​Lahore. The accused took Rs 100,000 in cash, two gold jewelry, a bracelet, a vehicle registration card and three ATMs from the accused. They fled with the cards. One accused Shafqat was arrested a few days after the incident but the other accused Abid Malhi was a fugitive who was arrested yesterday.
