The ongoing legal battle between Cynthia Richie and Rehman Malik has become a drop scene

The ongoing legal tussle between American blogger Cynthia de Ritchie and Senator Rehman Malik has become a drop scene.

According to Express News, the parties have filed petitions to withdraw the cases against each other. The lawyers of Cynthia de Ritchie and Rehman Malik filed the petitions in the Islamabad High Court.

According to Imran Feroz, the lawyer of the female blogger, her client Cynthia Ritchie has directed to withdraw the application to register a case against Rehman Malik, while on the other hand, Rehman Malik has also requested to withdraw the application for registration of a case against Cynthia de Ritchie. Cynthia Ritchie and Rehman Malik's miscellaneous petitions will be heard in the Islamabad High Court on Thursday.

In June last year, Cynthia de Ritchie, an American woman blogger, accused former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik of harassing and abusing her on social media. Later, a legal battle broke out between the two over the registration of cases.

Cynthia Ritchie also filed petitions against PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. The female blogger also leveled serious allegations against former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. However, none of these allegations have been substantiated in any court.
