I SHOULD HAVE COME TO PAKISTAN MUCH EARLIER: ZEENAT AMAN (بھارتی لڑکیاں پاکستانی فیشن کی دیوانی ہیں، زینت امان)

Zeenat Aman who is the famous and beautiful Indian film star articulates that artistes and craftsmen in both India and Pakistan must intermingle with each other as talent has no borders.

A conference was held on Sunday held at a local hotel with Indian chef Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and singer Rekha Bhardvaj before she inaugurated the three-day cultural, fashion, music and culinary lifestyle event Shaan-i-Pakistan – Kya Dilli Kya Lahore.

Zeenat Aman praised Lahore which she was visiting for the first time. “I should have come here much earlier. The city is beautiful and its people are largehearted. I want to visit the Walled City. Many from Peshawar starred in our film industry and Lahore too was the hub of films before the partition. I would like to see the entire city,” she said.

She said her son was acting in a film along with a Pakistani television hero, and she would return to Pakistan when the film releases.

“Give the children the same love which you have given to me,” she urged the media.

She told the journalists about her visit to M M Alam Road and some other places during the day to buy clothes that her younger colleagues had asked her to bring, and the local food she ate.

“We both have common music, culture and craftsmanship. But Indian girls are mad after Pakistani fashion. I have bought a lot of khadi shalwar kameez suits.”

Zeenat Aman arrived Pakistan via Wagah Border on Saturday. Her father Amanullah was one of the writers for the classic “Mughal-e-Azam”.

She and other members of the Indian delegation will return home when the event ends i.e on March 23.

لاہور: ماضی میں بھارتی فلم نگری پر راج کرنے والی اداکارہ زینت امان نے کہا کہ پاکستان کے لوگ بہت مہمان نواز ہیں جو پیار اورمحبت ملی اسے دیکھتے ہوئے بہت پہلے پاکستان آجا نا چاہئے تھا۔

لاہور میں پریس کانفرنس کرتے ہوئے لیجنڈری اداکار زینت امان کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان کے لوگ بہت مہمان نواز ہیں یہاں جو پیار اورمحبت ملی اسے دیکھتے ہوئے بہت پہلے پاکستان آجانا چاہئے تھا جب کہ لاہور بہت خوبصورت شہر ہے یہاں آکر بہت خوشی ہوئی ۔

بھارتی اداکارہ کاکہنا تھا کہ بھارت کےعوام پاکستان کےکلچرسےبہت متاثرہیں اور  بھارتی لڑکیاں پاکستانی فیشن کی بہت دیوانی  ہیں یہی وجہ ہے کہ پاکستان کے دورے پر آنے سے پہلے ہی کئی دوستوں نے پاکستان سے شلوار قمیض لانے کی فرمائش کی جس پر اب اپنے رشتے داروں اور دوستوں کے لیے پاکستانی لان خریدی ہے ۔

زینت امان کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان سمیت جہاں بھی اچھا کام ہوگا اس میں ضرورشامل ہوں گی جب کہ بھارتی فلم نگری کے کئی نامور اداکاروں کا تعلق پشاور سے ہے۔
