 گوجرانوالہ: پاک بھارت میچ ہمیشہ سے ہی حساس نوعیت کا ہوتا ہے جس میں دونوں ممالک کے شائقین کے دل کی دھڑکنیں جہاں تیز ہوتی ہیں تو وہیں مریضوں کے دل کی دھڑکن رکنے کا بھی خدشہ ہوتا ہے، اسی خدشے کو مد نظر رکھتے ہوئے پہلوانوں کے شہر گوجرانوالہ کے تمام اسپتالوں کے دل کے وارڈ سے ٹی اتار لئے گئے ہیں۔

گجرانوالہ میں سول انتظامیہ نے تمام اسپتالوں کو ہدایت جاری کی ہیں کہ دل کے وارڈ کے مریضوں کے کمرے سے تمام ٹی وی فوری طور پر اتار لئے جائیں کیونکہ پاک بھارت میچ کو عوام دلچسپی سے زیادہ جذبات سے دیکھتے ہیں جو دل کے مریضوں کے لئے خطرناک ثابت ہوسکتا ہے۔ سول انتظامیہ کے احکامات کے بعد تمام اسپتالوں کے دل سے وارڈ سے ٹی وی اتار لئے گئے ہیں۔ پاک بھارت میچ کے بعد تمام اسپتالوں میں ٹی وی دوبارہ نصب کر دیئے جائیں گے۔

واضح رہے کہ ٹی ٹوئنٹی ورلڈ کپ کے دوران پاکستان اور بھارت کے درمیان اہم ٹاکرا آج شام 7 بجے کولکتہ کے ایڈن گارڈن میں ہوگا۔

The decision to remove the television sets from the hospital wards for the duration of yesterday's match in Kolkata came from the local administration in consultations with the doctors and surgeons. 

KARACHI: Fearing for patients under treatment for cardiac ailments, the civil administration in the Pakistani city of Gujranwala had all television sets removed from their wards in government and private hospitals before the high-octane Indo-Pak World T20 match.

The decision to remove the television sets from the hospital wards for the duration of yesterday's match in Kolkata came from the local administration in consultations with the doctors and surgeons.

"The television sets were removed from the cardio wards first from the Gujranwala Civil hospital and was then applied by other private hospitals as well," senior heart specialist Dr Mateen told PTI.

The sets were put back in the wards today.

Dr Mateen who is also a heart surgeon at the Civil Hospital said that Pakistan and India matches is not only about cricket.

"There is a lot of anxiety, tension and stress involved in these matches for the viewers and heart patients who are already under treatment for different ailments can't afford to take the stress of such matches," he said.

"We didn't want to take the risk of these patients suffering any shock during the match which could prove to be fatal for them," Mateen said.
