Wasim Akram made sure Pakistan could not win the World Cup after 1992, Aamir Sohail

Aamir Sohail has said that Wasim Akram ensured that Pakistan could not win the trophy after 1992.

Aamir Sohail has said that in the 1996 World Cup quarter-final against India, the lead was announced just 5 minutes before the toss, but my friends had already informed me about Wasim Akram not playing.

عامر سہیل نے کہا ہے کہ وسیم اکرم نے اس بات کو یقینی بنایا کہ پاکستان 1992ء کے بعد ٹرافی نہ جیت سکے۔

عامر سہیل نے کہا ہے کہ بھارت کے خلاف ورلڈکپ1996 کوارٹر فائنل میں ٹاس سے صرف 5 منٹ پہلے قیادت کا بتایا گیا،البتہ وسیم اکرم کے نہ کھیلنے کے بارے میں مجھے دوست پہلے ہی آگاہ کر چکے تھے۔

ایک ٹی وی انٹرویو میں انھوں نے کہا کہ وسیم اکرم کا پاکستان کرکٹ میں کردار ورلڈ کپ کے تناظر میں حیران کن نوعیت کا ہے،انھوں نے اس بات کو یقینی بنایا کہ پاکستان 1992ء کے بعد ٹرافی نہ جیت سکے، وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے انھیں صدارتی ایوارڈ سے نواز کر جو کام کیا وہ قابل تحسین نہیں،وہ احتساب کی بات کرتے ہیں تو سب سے پہلے وسیم اکرم کو پی سی بی سے علیحدہ کریں۔
