Bhopal: Hospital management in India tied an elderly patient to a bed for not paying a bill of just Rs 11,000, whose pictures went viral on social media.

According to Indian media, an 80-year-old man was brought to a private hospital in Shahjapur area of ​​Madhya Pradesh in critical condition where the patient's hands and feet were tied to the bed before discharge so that he could not escape without paying the bill. Top officials took notice when the photos went viral.

The daughter of the elderly patient told the media that she had deposited Rs. 5,000 at the time of admission to the hospital, after which another Rs. 11,000 was demanded for her treatment. He tied my father to the bed and flatly refused to untie the rope before paying the bill.

On the other hand, the hospital administration has taken the position that the elderly patient had seizures and they could have harmed themselves during this time. Patient arrears have also been forgiven.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shoraj Singh Chouhan also took notice of the incident and announced to take stern action against the hospital management while offering complete treatment to the patient in a government hospital.

بھوپال: بھارت میں اسپتال انتظامیہ نے محض 11 گیارہ ہزار کا بل ادا نہ کرنے پر ایک معمر مریض کو بستر سے باندھ دیا جس کی تصاویر سوشل میڈیا پر وائرل ہوگئیں۔

بھارتی میڈیا کے مطابق ریاست مدھیہ پردیش کے علاقے شاہجا پور کے ایک نجی اسپتال میں 80 سالہ شخص کو تشویشناک حالت میں لایا گیا جہاں مریض کے ہاتھ پاؤں کو ڈسچارج ک وقت قبل بستر سے باندھ دیا گیا تاکہ وہ بل ادا کیے بغیر فرار نہ ہوجائیں۔ تصاویر وائرل ہونے پر اعلیٰ حکام نے نوٹس لے لیا۔

معمر مریض کی بیٹی نے میڈیا کو بتایا کہ اسپتال میں داخلے کے وقت 5 ہزار روپے جمع کرائے تھے جس کے بعد علاج کی مد میں مزید 11 ہزار روپے کا تقاضا کیا گیا، غربت کے باعث اتنی رقم دینے سے قاصر تھے جس پر اسپتال انتظامیہ نے میرے والد کو بستر سے باندھ دیا اور بل کی ادائیگی سے قبل رسی کھولنے سے صاف انکار کردیا۔

دوسری جانب اسپتال انتظامیہ نے موقف اختیار کیا ہے کہ معمر مریض کو دورے پڑتے تھے اور وہ اس دوران خود کو بھی نقصان پہنچا سکتے تھے اسی خدشے کے پیش نظر مریض کے ہاتھ پاؤں باندھے۔ مریض کے بقایا جات بھی معاف کردیئے گئے ہیں۔

ادھر مدھیہ پردیش کے وزیر اعلیٰ شوراج سنگھ چوہان نے بھی واقعے کا نوٹس لیتے ہوئے اسپتال انتظامیہ کیخلاف سخت ایکشن لینے کا اعلان کیا ہے جب کہ مریض کا مکمل علاج سرکاری اسپتال میں کرانے کی بھی پیشکش کی ہے۔
