The Federal Shariah Court dismissed the petition filed to facilitate the marriage.
According to Express News, the petition filed
in the Federal Shariah Court to facilitate marriage was heard by a three-member
bench headed by Chief Justice Noor Miskanzai.
The petitioner, while presenting his
position, pleaded that marriage has been made difficult in the society, the
incidence of abuse is increasing due to the difficulty of Nikah, and the court
should order the government to take steps to facilitate marriage.
The Chief Justice of the Shariah Court
remarked that the decision of the Federal Shariah Court already exists, and an
appeal against the decision of the Shariah Court is pending before the Shariah
Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court.
Following the court's remarks, the petitioner
withdrew his petition. The court dismissed the petition on the ground of withdrawal.
