میٹرس کو مہنگی ترین اشیا بنانے والے ڈیزائنر فیرس ریفولی نے بنایا ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک بستر یا میٹرس کی تیاری میں اسٹنگ رے مچھلی کی کھال اور گھوڑے کے بال استعمال کئے گئے ہیں اور انہیں تانبے کی رنگت والے خاص چمڑے سے بنایا گیا ہے۔ اس چمڑے کو مخصوص انداز میں دبا کر نرم بنایا گیا ہے جس میں محنت اور وقت لگا ہے ۔ اس طرح مجموعی طور پر ایک میٹرس 600 گھنٹے لگتے ہیں۔

فیرس ریفولی کے مطابق اس کی ڈیزائننگ میں ایک ایک پہلو کا خیال رکھا گیا ہے۔ ریفولی نے کہا کہ گلوکار ڈریک کے جس کمرے میں یہ میٹرس رکھا جائے گا پہلے اس کا بغور جائزہ لیا گیا ہے اور اس کے بعد کمرے کے رنگ اور ڈیزائن کے لحاظ سے ہی ایک بالکل نیا میٹریس تیار کیا گیا ہے۔

واضح رہے کہ اس میٹرس کی تیاری میں سویڈن 168 سال پرانی کمپنی ’ہیسنز‘ کا بھی کردار ہے جو دنیا کے مہنگے اور پرتعیش فرنیچر تیار کرتی ہے۔ میٹرس کو گرینڈ ویویڈیئس کا نام دیا گیا ہے جو مکمل طور پر ہاتھوں سے تیار کیا جاتا ہے۔ اس پر سونےوالا خود کو گویا بستر پر تیرتے ہوئے محسوس کرتا ہے۔ یہ کمپنی ہرسال اسطرح کے صرف 10 میٹرس تیار 

کرتی ہے۔
