The results of the Corona virus test kit used in the White House are questionable

The results of a test kit used to diagnose corona virus in the White House have been described as dubious. According to the World News Agency, US Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Steve Hunn has said that the White House will have to decide for itself whether it will continue to use the same test kit for the corona virus that has incorrectly reported negative tests.

Speaking to the American News Channel, Hunn said that the Federal Drug Authority had been providing instructions to the White House regarding this test but it would be up to the White House to decide whether to implement them or not.

The White House is using the Abbott Laboratory's "15 Minutes" test kit for President Donald Trump, his staff and the Task Force on Corona Virus, which gives results in just 15 minutes. Research on the test on Thursday found that it had given incorrect results to several tests and shown them to be negative.

Hunn said the FDA has approved the availability of the test and that it can be used, 

however, if the doctor or patient suspects that their tests have been incorrectly declared negative, they should have another test done.

وائٹ ہاؤس میں کورونا وائرس کی تشخیص  کے لیے استعمال ہونے والی ٹیسٹ کِٹ  کے نتائج  کو مشکوک قرار دے دیا گیا۔

عالمی خبر رساں ادارے کے مطابق امریکا کے فوڈ اینڈ ڈرگ ایڈمنسٹریشن کمشنر اسٹیو ہن نے کہا ہے کہ اس بات کا فیصلہ وائٹ ہاؤس کو خود کرنا ہوگا کہ وہ کورونا وائرس کے لیے وہی ٹیسٹ کِٹ استعمال کرتے رہیں گے جس نے غلط طور پر کئی ٹیسٹوں کی منفی رپورٹ دی ہے۔

امریکی نیوز چینل سے بات کرتے ہوئے ہن کا کہنا تھا کہ فیڈرل ڈرگ اتھارٹی کی جانب سے وہائٹ ہاؤس کو اس ٹیسٹ کے متعلق ہدایات فراہم کی جاتی رہی ہیں لیکن ان پر عمل درآمد کرنا یا نہ کرنا وائٹ ہاؤس کا فیصلہ ہوگا۔

واضح رہے کہ وائٹ ہاؤس میں صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ، ان کے عملے اور کورونا وائرس کے لیے بنائی گئی ٹاسک فورس کے لیے ایبٹ لیبارٹری کی بنائی گئی ’’15 منٹس‘‘ ٹیسٹ کٹ استعمال ہورہی ہے جو صرف پندرہ منٹ  میں نتائج دے دیتی ہے تاہم جمعرات کو اس ٹیسٹ پر ہونے والی تحقیق کے نتائج سے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ اس نے کئی ٹیسٹ کے غلط نتائج دیے اور انہیں منفی ظاہر کیا ہے۔

ہن کا کہنا تھا کہ ایف ڈی اے نے اس ٹیسٹ کی دستیابی کی منظوری دے دی ہے اور اس کا استعمال بھی کیا جاسکتا ہے تاہم اگر ڈاکٹر یا مریض کو شبہہ ہو کہ ان کے ٹیسٹ غلط طور پر منفی قرار دیے گئے ہیں تو ان کو دوسرا ٹیسٹ بھی کروالینا چاہیے۔
