‘Fake news’ French footballer denies leaving the team over President Macron's insulting statement

Paul Pogba called the news of his departure from the French football team a lie on the French president's insulting statement.


The French president had made insulting remarks a few days ago, after which The Sun reported that Paul Pogba, a Muslim footballer representing Manchester United, has decided to leave the team, to which the French footballer has reacted.



"There is no truth in the news about my leaving the French team and I am taking legal action against the newspaper for giving false news," said famous footballer Paul Pogba.



Midfielder Paul Pogba, 27, is a Muslim footballer who was part of the French team that beat Croatia in 2018 to win the FIFA World Cup. He also plays for the British club Manchester United.
